FAQ

Not necessarily. Swimming is mostly recreational in our experience, and we provide life jackets when needed. Our guides are always there to assist you, so guests with limited swimming skills can still enjoy the experience comfortably.

Yes! Our cenote experiences are suitable for children, and we generally recommend a minimum age of 5 years old. However, every child is different, so participation also depends on their swimming ability, comfort in the water, and overall confidence.

The water in the cenotes is generally around 74°F (23°C). We also provide wetsuits in the cave areas to help you stay comfortable in the water.

Light rain or cloudy weather usually won’t affect the experience, and can even make the jungle and cenotes feel more atmospheric. However, in the event of a major storm or severe weather conditions that could make the experience unsafe, we may need to reschedule or cancel the tour. Your safety always comes first, and we’ll work with you to find the best alternative.

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring your phone, camera, or GoPro to capture the experience. We do recommend using waterproof protection for your devices. Our guide will also be happy to suggest the best spots for memorable photos.

Description

Spend the day exploring the very best of the two types of cenotes in the Tulum area: an open air above ground natural oasis, and below ground covered pools and cave rooms. Three stunning locations have been selected from over a hundred cenote options in the area.

First, we go above ground to a small tropical oasis that is open to the sun with small fishes and a small cavern area where you can see the Sun’s rays of light dance underwater. Then we go to a second mixed- environment with a sparkling cave room, stalactites from the Ice Age, and photogenic areas to walk and swim. Finally, we go underground and swim part of the longest underground river system on earth accessed through a cenote. This third site has been described as akin to swimming through a real-life scene in a fairy-tale.
