One of a kind experience not to be missed This was an exceptional experience and one that shouldn’t be missed. Juan imparted so much knowledge about the region, the cenotes and cave system of the Yucatán peninsula, as well as history of the region and Mayan culture. We also learned of the concerns for the regions cenotes as they experience climate change and the environmental impact of over tourism. The more engaged you are as a tourist, the more you will learn from Juan. The cenotes are breathtaking and a spiritual experience for me to see the light coming into the cenotes from above. STOP what you are doing and BOOK this!! Without a doubt the BEST part of our Mexico vacation!! The open air cenote had tiny fish swimming around and was the perfect introduction to a cenote. The second cenote was a cave system that was flooded and should honestly be considered the 8th wonder of the world. By the way, we were the ONLY people there, which added to the serenity and made the experience truly feel private! Have you ever seen a rainbow colored tropical bird perched in a tree in a cave?! Seriously, STOP & book this tour! We are beyond happy to have been taken to a local’s favorite spots than being shoulder to shoulder at the more popular places. One thing this tour reminded us of, popular does NOT mean better!

Our tour guide Juan was so knowledgeable about the area and shared tons of other fun facts along the way. He explained how important cenotes were for the Maya culture and the history behind the places we visited. Thank you Juan for making this a trip of a lifetime - you are awesome!! Btw he also provided fresh fruit, water, drinks, and light snacks to hold us over until we were dropped back off at our hotel.

A must do while in Tulum! Overall A+ experience. Juan was an incredible guide, and the cenotes he takes you to are absolutely breathtaking.

Juan is so knowledgeable and he made the experience extra enjoyable for my wife and I. This is the best activity we did while in Tulum and is a must do.

MUST DO! You won’t be disappointed. This experience is so hard to describe. A mix of beauty, adventure, serenity, surprises and so much more. There are few adventures in life that you can embark on like this, and with Juan as your guide you’re sure to be impressed. I love when a guide can be knowledgeable, friendly and funny and then fade into the background at exactly the right time so that you can enjoy your group and the scenery. Highly recommend!

Amazing Private Experience We have been to the region many times and often book with whatever company is at the resort. However these companies seem to be packing more and more people onto these excursions and we have been left without seats on boats and in large groups where you cannot enjoy anything. The last one we did was a turtle swim where the group flocked to the turtle and could have easily drown my daughter as they shoved my 7 year old to get to a turtle. Not doing those again. We researched and found Tulum Underground. What an absolute amazing experience we have had. So much so we turned around and booked all our remaining excursions with them. We were a family of 4 and that is what our group consisted of, private as they advertise. The guides are local and so the areas we went to, we were sometimes the only ones there or very few others. My 8 year old definitely has a growing mind and our guides were happy to answer the million questions she asked and she probably learned more in a day then a month or two at school. Juan & Eduardo both absolutely amazing guides. The cenotes we visited were all absolutely amazing and pristine. We cannot wait to get back and book all our excursions with Tulum Underground once again. For perspective we have to Mexico around 10 times and packed with excursions every time, we have also visited Peru, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica and hands down Tulum Underground was the best company we have been with of maybe around 50 different companies. Simply Amazing!

Once in a lifetime experience This is legitimately the coolest thing I've experienced (maybe in my life). You are able to see caverns dripping full of millions year old stalagmites, Pterodactyl jaw fossils fossilized in the rock, jaw-dropping underwater views from snorkeling, a chamber that is like a sensory deprivation chamber the best thing I did in Mexico by far. This place should be a world heritage sight. Our tour guide Banni was amazing, taught us a lot and just a wonderful person. This was a once in a lifetime experience. YOU MUST GO!

Outstanding private tour Juan was an amazing guide - he gave us the confidence to see parts of the caves we wouldn’t have thought we could do. Seeing the others tours made us realize how fortunate we were to be off the beaten path within the caves.

Best day of our trip!! Absolutely incredible experience! Juan took us to the most beautiful places that are not well-known, and no one was there! These sites are absolutely breathtaking and he was so patient with our son who loves to ask a lot of questions! Juan was so responsive, on time, and absolutely lovely person to spend the day with! Highly recommend!!

Nature at its best The beauty, the knowledge and the thrills made for a great day. We were able to really immerse ourselves into our surroundings. It’s like going into another world and feeling totally safe.
