Explore Tulum Underground – Private Half Day Tour

$179.00

Imagine this! You dive into deep blue crystal-clear waters, surrounded by rock walls sculpted by nature over thousands of years. Sunlight filters through the cave openings, creating magical sparkles underwater. You’re in a cenote, one of Earth’s hidden treasures.

As you swim, you feel the fresh water embrace you, a perfect contrast to the tropical heat. If you venture in with a snorkel, you’ll discover stalactites and stalagmites beneath the surface, like exploring a submerged cathedral. And if you’re lucky, small fish or even turtles might join you in this unique experience.

Some cenotes are open to the sky, with hanging vines like something out of an adventure movie; others are cavernous and mysterious, with echoes that seem to whisper ancient secrets. It’s not just swimming, it’s diving into a magical world full of history, beauty, and pure adrenaline.

With a private cenote tour, you avoid crowds, explore at your own pace, and learn the secrets of these sacred Mayan sites from expert guides.

FAQ

Do I Need to Know How to Swim?
Not necessarily. Swimming is mostly recreational in our experience, and we provide life jackets when needed. Our guides are always there to assist you, so guests with limited swimming skills can still enjoy the experience comfortably.

Is the Water in the Cenotes Cold?
The water in the cenotes is generally around 74°F (23°C). For experiences involving cave cenotes, we also provide wetsuits to help keep you comfortable in the water.

Are the Cenotes Suitable for Children?
Many of our experiences suit children, but this depends on the specific cenotes and activities included. Because our tours are private, we can recommend an experience based on your children’s ages and adapt the pace and activities to your family.

Can Bad Weather Affect My Experience?
Cloudy skies and occasional rain are common in the Riviera Maya and generally do not affect our experiences. We operate in light rain as long as conditions remain safe.

Also, we will swim into an underground river filled with stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations that make you feel as if you are exploring another planet. Come with us and we will show you the best and most special cenotes and underground river experience that the Yucatan Peninsula has to offer.
